Wakefield, MA – The 9th Annual Wakefield Warrior Club Tournament will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2013 at Beverly Golf & Tennis in Beverly, Massachusetts. Tee time is scheduled for 1:30PM. All proceeds of the event will benefit Wakefield High School Football and Wakefield Pop Warner Football.

The Warrior Club is proud to announce that our 2013 Tournament Sponsor is once again Honey Dew Donuts. This is the 4th consecutive year that Honey Dew has sponsored the tournament and the Warrior Club is grateful John Kennedy and his team’s support.

If you only enter one tournament a year, this is the one to enter. The day will start off with a boxed lunch during the registration process. All participants will receive a gift bag sponsored by Wakefield Cooperative Bank. Included in the bag will be gift items sponsored by Wakefield Savings Bank, the Warrior Club and other local businesses. This year’s gift bag includes a performance golf shirt, hat, Nike golf balls and other goodies. After registration, participants will be encouraged to try their luck at the $5,000 Justin L. Marshall Putting Contest sponsored by Metalcrafters Inc. Why not try and sink a putt to win the cash prize?

Once course officials say, “Go”, participants will be treated to a variety of contest holes including a hole in one grand prize sponsored by Matt Shevlin-‘95, smaller hole in one prizes sponsored by the Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Employees. This year’s hole in one grand prize is a trip for two to the US Open, which includes, airfare, hotel and tickets to all the rounds.

After the golfing wraps up, participants and friends of the program will be welcomed to Beverly Golf & Tennis’s dining room for dinner and entertainment. The banquet will feature a silent auction, raffles and laughs! Former player and nationally recognized comedian, Paul D’Angelo will once again provide the comic relief.

“This promises to be another exciting tournament for the Warrior Club,” said tournament chairperson, John Roberto. He continued, “this is the Warrior Club’s major fundraiser each year, and without it the program would be paralyzed due to the budget cuts over the years. We look forward another successful outing!”

Registrations are now being accepted. Sign up before its too late online at www.wakefieldathletics.com. You can register for golf, sign up for a sponsorship, or reserve your spot at the banquet either by credit card or by printing the registration form and sending it to the Warrior Club at P.O.
