Wakefield, MA—The 7th Annual Wakefield Warrior Golf Tournament is coming soon! If you only enter one tournament this summer, this is the one!
The tournament, sponsored by Honey Dew Donuts of Wakefield, will be held on Monday, August 8th, at Mount Hood Golf Club in Melrose, Massachusetts. Registration will begin at 9:00AM and a light breakfast, sponsored by The Orlowitz Family & Friends will be served. The outing will get started with a shotgun at 10:00AM. Following the golf tournament, a banquet, sponsored by MacKay Construction Services, will be held at the Saugus Elk’s outdoor pavilion. The banquet will include entertainment, silent auction, and raffles.
The fee of $150.00 per golfer ($600.00 per foursome) includes breakfast, greens fee, cart, banquet and golfer gift bag. This year’s gift bag is sponsored by Nardone Inc., Wakefield Co-operative Bank, and Wakefield Savings Bank. If you are not a golfer, individual banquet tickets are available for $50.
The day of golf includes a putting contest, sponsored by Metalcrafters Inc. and named in memory of Justin L. Marshall. The putting contest is for a $5,000 cash prize! Also included is five hole-in-one contests, including one with a grand prize of a new car and another for a $25,000 cash prize. The banquet is one that people talk about all year long! It includes your standard BBQ fare and tops it all off with your choice of steak or lobster!
Proceeds from this event are used to support the Wakefield High School football program and a donation will be made to a local scholarship program that benefits football players.
