Wakefield, MA-Senior TE/DE Anthony Fabiano who is 6’5″ and weighs in at 263 lbs. has been selected as a Preseason EMass Second Team All Star by the Boston Herald.

Fabiano, who will serve as a Captain of the Warriors this season, is a two-way star for Wakefield. He is being heavily recruited at the BSC and FCS Levels.  So far Fabiano is weighing his options with Boston College and UConn of the BCS as well as Harvard and University of New Hampshire at the FCS Division.

The Boston Herald recognized Fabiano as Tight End on their Second Team Preseason All Star Team.  This team recognizes the best players across Massachusetts going into the season.

“Anthony will be first one to tell you that individual awards are not why he plays the game of football,” said Coach Mike Boyages. He continued, “Anthony is being heavily recruited by the areas major college football powers in a similar way to Martin Hyppolite (UConn) was a few years.  The difference with Anthony is that he has had offers on the table before the start of his season and will be able to make his decision in the next few weeks.  This will allow him to put all of the nerves, excitement and visits behind him and concentrate on football.  I am glad the Herald recognized him as an outstanding football player and we expect big things from him this season.”
