Wakefield, MA- Wakefield High School Athletic Director, Mike Boyages, is pleased to announce that long time athletic trainer, Sue Courchesne, has been named “Employee of the Month” by her peers at Hallmark Health.
Sue Courchesne, ATC, LAT works in a dual role as an athletic trainer at Wakefield High School and as an aide at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She works with employees, patients, the community, athletes, physicians and the list goes on. She recently received a letter from the parents of one of her athletes, both of whom were so appreciative of the kindness and skill that Sue gave to their child, properly preparing her for her final high school game.
Sue has been instrumental in Hallmark Health’s Sports Medicine Conference series, presenting to the community and to physicians to boost awareness and increase growth for Rehabilitation Services. Sue also serves on the Rewards and Recognition Committee and always brings new ideas to the table.
Sue has been with the Wakefield Athletic Department for more than 20 years. Superintendent of Schools, Joan Landers, said, “I am so proud of Sue for her accomplishment….we are very lucky to have her as a part of our school system.” Boyages added, “I have been able to witness Sue’s love and care for her athletes as an administrator, coach and parent. She is hands down the best trainer in the state and I am very proud of her most recent accomplishment.”
