The Warrior club extends their deepest sympathy to the family of Robert Bisacre. Bob was a lifelong educator, coach and mentor. He graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 1956. A standout athlete, Bob is thought by many to be one of the finest Wakefield football players ever to play the game. Following his professional football career, he returned to Wakefield and taught physical education at Wakefield High School for over four decades and was an assistant coach and then later Head Coach of the Warrior football team from 1967-1978. Bob’s football jersey is the only retired jersey hanging in the fieldhouse. He was elected into the Wakefield High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday, March 6, at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 5, from 1-4pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Bisacre Family Scholarship Fund, c/o Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, P.O. Box 321, Wakefield, MA 01880.
