Middlesex League Week Ten Wrap Up

Wakefield, MA–The Middlesex League saw 10 of it’s 10 teams in action this weekend. There were no non league games.

Melrose – 7

Wakefield – 15

Touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters from Josh Puccio and Vinny DeSciscio were enough for the Warriors to take home a win against the Red Raiders.

Reading – 28

Stoneham – 0

The Rockets used four ball carriers in their shutout of Stoneham. Larry Gilligan, Brian Bourque, Zack Bates, and Joseph Guarino each scored in the first half.

Watertown – 13

Belmont – 28

Senior Joe Montiero had 22 carries for 215 yards and three touchdowns for the Marauders.

Burlington – 0

Lexington – 14

Connor Murray ran for two touchdowns to lead the Minutemen. The contest marked the last in Coach Bill Tighe’s career.

Winchester – 19

Woburn – 14

Lars Zandbergs had 6.5 tackles, including one sack, and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the Sachems’ victory.
