Middlesex League Week Two Wrap Up

Wakefield, MA— The Middlesex League had all 10 teams see action this weekend.  The teams again played non-league teams in preparation for next weekends league opener’s.  Overall, the league faired much better this weekend than last.


Wakefield- 13
Lynn Classical- 24

Eric Sisson rushed for two touchdowns and Nick Grassa iced the win with a 44-yard touchdown scamper with just over a minute left in the game.

Stoneham- 6
Boston Latin- 26

Tyler Hallinan (139 yards) and Jhalen Bien-Aime (124) each scored two touchdowns in the Wolfpack’s victory.

Swampscott- 22
Winchester- 6

Mike Walsh passed for 184 yards and rushed for two scores in the Big Blue’s victory.

Trinity Catholic-0
Watertown- 52

C.J. Logan had 120 rushing yards and added three scores for the Raiders.

Woburn- 14

Billerica’s Nick LaSpada had two touchdown passes and added three scores on the ground to lead the Indians over the Tanners.

Reading- 18

Brian Bourque had 80 rushing yards and 136 through the air with two touchdowns for the Rockets.

Lexington- 26

Nick Murray scored three touchdowns on the ground while Charles Blackett had nine tackles and seven sacks.

Melrose- 14

Melrose’s defense had a 4th down stop on the 28 yard line to preserve the victory.

Burlington- 43
Arlington- 28

The Red Devil’s offense exploded on future Middlesex League rival Arlington.

Belmont- 0

Stephen Adams rushes 16 times for 113 yards while Christian Voivan added three touchdown passes.
