New Lexington Head Coach Has Wakefield Ties

Wakefield, MA–Lexington has hired George Peterson as its new head football coach, replacing Bill Tighe, who retired following the 2010 season. 

A three-sport at Mill River Union High School in Vermont, Peterson had a superb collegiate career at UNH. He played linbebacker and defensive end for the Wildcats from 2000-2004, earning First-Team All-New England and All-American honors.

He has served as an assistant football coach at Bedford (NH) as well as the freshman football coach at Wakefield.
